I am surprised I have not heard from Nyieasha Moore since I filled out the Cruises Only survey last Monday. We recently came back from a cruise on the RCCL Jewel of the Seas which she booked. I contracted Norovirus after there was a breakout on the 3 day of the cruise. It seems to me that she would have contacted me to ask about this incident so she could warn other passengers that have upcoming cruises on the Jewel.
I have taken more than 35 cruises since 1990 and I have never been on a cruise that had a Norovirus outbreak until now. The Jewel had a second outbreak later in the cruise as it seems like the first outbreak never cleared up. It was so sad to see another 2000 unsuspecting passengers boarding this ship and becoming sick to no fault of their own.
I have done a lot of research online since returning home to find that the Jewel has been plagued many times since 2010 with Norovirus outbreaks but is still allowed to sail. Upon embarkation, no one had us fill out a health questionnaire before getting on the ship. The Windjammer cafe had passengers reaching for food, touching and handling food when there should have been staff serving to prevent outbreaks such as this. The staff seemed to be under trained as far as picking up clean glasses with their fingers inside of the glass, not wearing gloves or properly fitted gloves, and not willing to serve food to the passengers until after the outbreak occurred. Staff were cleaning and sanitizing with the same clothes from table to table when clean clothes should have been used.
I would like to hear your opinion on these issues. You booked this cruise so I expect some kind of response.
We booked this Royal Caribbean 9 Night Greek Isles cruise with Nyieasha Moore over a year ago. She never combined any of the deals we received from RCCL and offered us nothing except the $100 Diamond Loyalty perk which I had to fight to get from her.
I really did not appreciate the lack of service I received from her. After she booked our cruise she was always very difficult to get a hold of, always claiming to be out of town, etc. I have 3 other cruises booked with Cruises Only on Holland America. We use another Cruises Only agent now who is always there for us and does an outstanding job. I would not use Nyiseaha Moore again.
It's really sad to be treated in such a manner.
