Verified Reviewer | Miami, FloridaCruise Canceled
I booked a cruise in Oct 2023 for Oct 2024 on the Icon of the Seas, Western Caribbean. This was supposed to be my birthday cruise. I put down a small deposit of under $300.00. I received an email stating that I needed to pay the remainder owed by 07/18/2024; today is 07/15 so I logged onto the Cruises Only website to pay the balance. To my dismay, there was a note that read, 'Your Cruise has been cancelled. Call Customer Service.'
I immediately contacted Customer Service and was told it was cancelled 4 days ago due to non-payment of the balance. I said, 'I have an email that states I have until the 18th.' I was placed on hold for over 15 minutes while Customer Service contacted Royal Caribbean to reinstate the booking. Customer Service returned and advised me that Royal Caribbean was asking $8,500 in order to rebook.
I will never use Cruises Only ever again. As for Royal Caribbean, I will also never use them again. Both are lacking in customer service skills. Everyone nowadays is trying to make a few extra dollars at your expense.

Both companies should be ashamed of themselves.

Untruthful agents and rude supervisor
I called in on July 2,2024 and spoke with an agent named Joanne about cancelling a cruise due to some unforeseen issues. She advised me that the $500 deposit taken from our bank had not yet posted on their end and that there would be a $100 cancellation fee which could be deducted from the $500 deposit.
We then would only be receiving $400 back on the card on file with them. She then told me she would call me back on July 3 to fix the problem. On the 3rd I called and spoke with an unknown agent and was cut off. I called back and spoke with an agent named John who stated the same as Joanne that there was cancellation fee of $100 and we would receive back $400.
Not even a minute later there was another $100 dollars removed from our bank account, so now they had taken a total of $600. I immediately called back and spoke with an agent named Tyler who stated the $100 was for cancellation even though I had already been told that it would be taken from the initial $500 deposit. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was connected to a lady named Artrell who was nice in the beginning and later became upset when I told her that I had been lied to about the $100 being removed from the initial $500 deposit. She stated that her employers were not liars and that maybe they had just misinformed me.
I explained to her that this was the same as being untruthful or liars. She became more upset when I asked her to give me a phone number to the corporate offices and stated she only had an email for them.
She became rude when I asked her to confirm the names of the agents I had talked to and stated "I don't know their names, you are the one that called". I then received the email address from her and ended the call.

Verified ReviewerWARNING TO ALL
This is the worst of the worst! The statement is even before they get the money.
Once you have paid, it is all over. I thought they were decent to do business with, however not any longer.
Keep in mind, the corporation operates under a number of other sites. Be aware and do not be foolish.
- Everything that is consumer oriented
Preferred solution: NEVER SPEAKING WITH THEM AGAIN. THAT WOULD BE WONDERFULL.

Cruise Excursion-Belize
DANGEROUS! Took us on jeep ride in rickety old jeeps, no air, to a 75 ft cliff we were told we had to climb.
Then had to get on knees to tour the caves. All 6 of us refused as were over 60 and NEVER told of these fitness requirements. It was sketchy, dangerous and misleading. Then took us to someones back yard for a special lunch.
Told it was a park. Then told we could jump in the river to swim. Ridiculous and dangerous. I couldnt even make this crap up!
A COMPLETE SCAM!! Lesson-Only book direct with cruise line excursions to avoid such rip offs.

Verified ReviewerAmazing service
I totally dont understand the reviews. Karen Buford and other service rep have always honored everything that was promised to me.
I hope more people that are happy with them start porting reviews. Unfortunately we post more reviews when we upset vs when we are satisfied. I just want people to know that I have booked at least 25 cruises and I never had a problem. Even when Covid hit I had 5 cruises that need to get rescheduled and I received $600 onboard on all them plus other credits that were promised.
I usually book with whoever answers when I call and the same result easy quick bonus money plus a repeat of what I am to expect the get plus the total. I love Cruisesonly and the people I referred do also
Preferred solution: Awesome service

Verified ReviewerVery bad experience
I have been on many cruises and planned most of them directly. This one however, I decided to try Cruises only because it advertised get free on board credit.
So of course me loving the spa decided some free credit would be great to help offset the extra cost. So I booked with them and was told I would get $200 dollars OBC. WOW! Great now when I try to pay off said cruise SURPRISE there was a clerical error of $200 hmmmm coincidence I think not.
I have been on the phone with them for two hours and 32 minutes today trying to straighten this out. Of course I couldnt so I went ahead and paid the extra $200 but I will never use this company again.

Verified ReviewerBeen using them for 10 years.
I don't get the negativity. I've never had a problem, and they throw in an extra $25-$150 of spending money on account when I get to the cruise. I've compared them to buying directly from the cruise line, and their price is exactly the same plus the $$$ bonus.
- You get spending cash for the cruise
- You still have to sign onto the cruise lines website afterwards

Verified Reviewer | Pflugerville, TexasNever Delivered Promised Shore Excursion Credit
I have booked over 20 cruises with CruisesOnly and a key perk for booking cruises with them is that they provide a shore excursion credit with each cruise. Because we are the highest status, we are supposed to receive $100 credit toward a shore excursion.
However, on this cruise, the credit never arrived. I have called 4 times and sent at least 3 e-mails and it is impossible to talk to the person who handles this and no one else wants to help. I just get told that they will e-mail the person (whose information is never given) and let them know. Then nothing happens and I call again.
Then it is the same story. However, this has been going on for more than a month and now I am about to leave on the trip. Their rules also make you use it at least 4 days before the cruise. Soon, it will be impossible to use but, no one at the company seems to care.
This is the way they treat someone who has given them a ton of business. Think how they would treat you.
User's recommendation: Don't expect to receive what they promise. They just don't care about anything but making their $24.99 fee plus the commissions the cruise lines give them.
To warn people of how despicable the customer service is.
Just in brief, lies, misrepresentation and complete disregard for the customer. Seven phone calls and no resolution. They just do not care about who they hire and how they are trained.
User's recommendation: Do not get suckered into dealing with this company or their subsidiaries, buyer be aware

Verified Reviewer | Miami, FloridaTerrible
sold me a cruise on carnival horizon, the kids went Buckwild, fist fights on board at the ice cream machine, drunk, middle schoolers in the elevators, racial slurs with middle schoolers, young kids ran through hallways all night, long knocking on doors, the food sucked. The desserts were worse.
We returned most of the food we ordered, the pay restaurants were not any better. I return some of that food as well. The destinations were the places we ended up eating at. I would never go here again.
They should be embarrassed as they have parents sign a waiver, notating curfews at 1 AM they did not adhere to it.
They did not ensure kids were running all over the place at 2 AM and 4 AM . That sucks you save all year to have a sucky vacation.
- Find you deals
- Blind sided on cruise history and issues
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: don’t use carnival
Tried to contact ...
I tried to contact, but as per normal they waste my time with automation in the hope people go away... They make cancellation as difficult as possible and consequently I will never be a customer again..
User's recommendation: Book direct
Unable to contact Cruises Only by phone from PR.
Neither the 800 number nor the 617 phone numbers work from PR. The chat is a recorder.
No human being to help. I need to be contacted.
- Variety of products
- Unable to reach them from pr
Preferred solution: To speak with a human being.
User's recommendation: If they don't fix the problem for people to communicate from PR, don't make reservations because later no one could help you.

Verified Reviewer | Hollywood, FloridaAVOID AVOID AVOID; protect your invest and book direct
A couple of days ago I went to book some shore excursions from my cruise to Alaska coming up in June 2023 when I noticed I could not book anything for one of the rooms (booked connecting rooms for my family of 5) which we had booked back in March 2022. So, I went to log into my cruise on CruisesOnlys website when it stated that the reservation had been cancelled (1 of the 2 rooms).
I immediately called CruisesOnly and after almost 2 hours with Abagail Jenkins (ext. 33144), trying to figure out why it was cancelled and her going back and forth between her supervisor and Royal Caribbean our call went to the survey which usually happens at the end of the call which it unfortunately was not. I waited about 30 minutes in hopes the representative would call me back but she never did so I called CruisesOnly again. The representative that picked up attempted to message Abigail Jenkins through their internal messaging system but she did not respond and upon checking it appeared Miss Jenkins had either went to lunch or had left for the day.
The new representative was willing to start the process all over again but upon her reaching out to Royal Caribbean, she was told the wait time for a representative would be about an hour, so I asked if I could have Miss Jenkins direct extension to leave her another message of my own, which I did with no call back even though her recorded voicemail stated her days and hours which was the timeframe I was calling between. After waiting for another day for Mrs. Jenkins to call me back, which unfortunately did not happen, I proceeded to call CruisesOnly once again. This time I was helped by Jen Davis (ext.
33283), over the following two hours we went back and forth between her supervisor and Royal Caribbean who at this point had washed their hands clean of the situation being it was CruisesOnlys fault for not getting my payment transferred over to RCCL in time, in turn causing one of my rooms (oddly) to get cancelled. I have the emails and print outs to prove that my payments as far as I (the customer) can see, were applied to my booking and that To prevent cancellation, you must be paid in full by February 22, 2023. I have the emails to prove that my payments were posted to my booking as well as another email saying my final payment was not due until February 22, 2023.
I've been cruising for years now, and over the years I have mostly booked with RCCL, NCL, Disney and Carnival directly but sometimes I have used BJ's travel and CruisesOnly to book. Well after this incident, no matter how this incident turns out, I will never book another cruise unless it is directly with the Cruise line.
I implore any cruisers to avoid CruisesOnly at all cost. They caused one of my rooms to get cancelled and do not want any responsibility even though the documentation and emails prove otherwise.
They will gladly take your money and then leave you out to dry when their representatives screw up. The supervisor (Tamika) was not willing to talk to me nor was she willing to even try to remediate the matter to help the customer out of the predicament they put the customer in.
Re: booking # 136-********
- 1800 number
- No follow-up calls or emails
- Horrible customer service
Preferred solution: To get my cancelled cruise booked with the insane price increase.
User's recommendation: Avoid CRUISESONLY
Not worth the hassle.
Customer service was great while booking the cruise but details about the cruise were given only to find out later not true. Customer service afterwards was not so great.
Phone holds were almost an hour. Contacting Carnival directly at same time was prompt and friendly but they are limited to my information because Cruises Only "owned" my booking. I Referred others sailing with me to book with the cruise line directly (Carnival).
Service was much better and so were the upgrade options. Although Cruises only said I had them at time of booking, I did not.
User's recommendation: Book directly through Cruise line. Faster service and added benefits.

Verified ReviewerUnreasonable fees
We had to cancel our cruise due to the airfare prices being so high and recently being laid off. We booked two adjoining rooms, and my first complaint was that they never told us that would be two separate reservations so was charged $100 each for each room.
Then when I had to cancel, they charged $100 a room and I wanted to credit my sister the charge since she is still going on the cruise. They wouldn't let that happen and said it had to be used for a "future cruise credit." It's my credit shouldn't I be able to use it where I would like to?
Overall, they didn't work with me on anything so think that is $unu250 down the drain due to the $25.00 cancellation fees and the $100 fees. All for nothing and my cruise is still over 5 months out so I am sure they will be able to sell the rooms.
- Travel agents were polite
- Poor policy for cancellation
Preferred solution: Price reduction

le if someone asks you something you do not know the answer to, but you think you know the answer to, that is NOT lying. She only got rude to you when you accused here employees of lying, Kudos to her for standing up for her employees.
Lying is when someone deliberately deceives you. They did not deliberately try to deceive you, so they were NOT lying. I am sure that if someone accused you or someone you know of something that they did not do, you would be rude as well. Also, they have thousands of agents, how is she to know who called you?
Even if she did, their names are NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. You are obviously not that smart.
Maybe because of how STUPID you are you misunderstood the other agents. She is not being rude, she is just being honest, YOU talked to the agents so how is she to know their names?
